Nigerian legend Austin Jay Jay Okocha is among former African football stars that will be present in Algeria for the 2023 African Nations Championship.
Former Ghana forward, Asamoah Gyan, Tunisia’s Karim Haggui, El Hadji Diouf from Senegal and Togolese Emmanuel Adebayor have also been invited by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
The biennial competition will kick-off in Algeria on Friday.
Nigeria failed to qualify for the competition after losing to perennial rivals, Ghana in the qualifiers.
The CHAN is designed for players plying their trade in their countries domestic leagues.
