Enyimba goalkeeper, Olorunleke Ojo has dedicated his inclusion in Nigeria’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations squad to his fellow local players.
Ojo is one of the three goalkeepers named in the 25-man squad by head coach, Jose Peseiro.
The former Akwa United shot stopper is the only player from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) who makes the selection.
He declared that his inclusion is for all NPFL players and will strive to make them proud.
“This period is so emotional for me. I want to use this medium to appreciate the media, football pundits, fans, and most importantly the technical crew of the Super Eagles, for believing in me and for giving me a rare opportunity to be a part of the upcoming AFCON team,” Ojo told CKD Media. ” I will give it all my best if given the opportunity to be in goal in any of the matches. I am more or less be a flag bearer for the NPFL at the AFCON.
” I dedicate this inclusion to GOD and all NPFL players.”
Ojo is yet to make his official debut for the Super Eagles.
