Shooting Stars head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote has reflected on his side’s South West derby victory over Sunshine Stars.
The Oluyole Warriors claimed a 1-0 victory over Sunshine Stars at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne on Saturday.
Ogunbote the victory was a big relief for his side.
“This victory is a big relief, having toiled for so many games. This is the third derby we have played, it would have suicidal if we cannot take a point out of the three derbies,” he told the club’s media.
“I’m really happy that finally, it happened, we worked for it and deservedly we were able to get it,” said the oracle who praised his boys for fighting hard to get the desired result.
“The players gave it their all, they fought to keep the goal and to ensure the victory was achieved, so it was a good one for us”.
Shooting Stars will face Kano Pillars in their next game.
