The Ogun State Chapter of All Progressives Party (APC), has set up a Local Organising Committee (LOC), for the presidential rally to be addressed by President Muhammadu Buhari In Abeokuta on January 31, 2019.
Business mogul cum politician, Architect Owodunni Opayemi, will chair the Committee that is to ensure a befitting and hitch-free reception for the President and his entourage when they visit Ogun State for the rally, during which the party’s flag would also be presented to the governorship candidate of the party, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
The decision to set up the LOC was taken at the meeting of the Presidential Campaign Advisory Council held in Abeokuta on Sunday evening and presided over by the former Governor of Ogun State, Aremo Segun Osoba. According to a press statement issued by the Stare Publicity Secretary of Ogun APC Executive Caretaker Committee, Tunde Oladunjoye, other members of the LOC are Senator Gbenga Obadara, Mr. Tunji Akinosi, Dr. Yomi Majekodunmi, Barrister (Mrs.) Olubukola Onabanjo, former Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Mrs. Funmi Afuwape, Mr. Semako Huyen, and two former Deputy Governors, Senator Sefiu Adegbenga Kaka, and Chief Segun Adesegun, who is also the Director General of Dapo Abiodun Campaign Organisation (DACO).
The LOC, which will work together with the State Caretaker Committee headed by Chief Femi morning Sanusi, “will liaise with the National Working Committee of the APC to ensure a befitting reception and rally for Mr. President”, the statement said.
