By Collins Agwam Delta State Commissioner for Housing, Joseph Ajiri Ogeh has congratulated Delta State Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa on his victory at the Governorship Elections Petitions Tribunal.
Ogeh who joined other top government functionaries to celebrate the victory yesterday at the Government House Chapel, Asaba said the victory of Governor Okowa in the tribunal is a confirmation of the mandate truly given to him by Deltans on April 11.
An elated Arch Ogeh, said he wasn’t surprised about the outcome of the tribunal judgment because Governor Okowa won the elections free and fair.
He therefore urged Deltans and the opposition to join hands with Governor Okowa in building a prosperous Delta State.
The Delta State Governorship Elections Petitions Tribunal sitting in Asaba had dismissed the petitions of the LP and APC Governorship Candidates in the April 2015 Governorship election in the state for incompetence/lack of merit and for being unable to prove their case.
In the same vein, Minority Leader, House of Representatives and Member Representing Isoko Federal Constituency, Hon Leo Ogor, has congratulated the Executive Governor of Delta State Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, and the People’s Democratic Party, PDP on the victory of the Governor and the party at the Elections Petitions Tribunal. The Federal lawmaker says he feels fulfilled and elated over the judgment of the Delta State Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Asaba in which the duly elected governor of Delta state emerged victorious.
Ogor says although he was undaunted and not in doubt about the victory of the party in all matters before the Tribunal, but the fact that in spite of the visible pressure and efforts by the losers, the tribunal Justices, members of the Tribunal remained unswayed and demonstrated their unbiased disposition in the matter by considering its merit.
He further describes the judgment and the success of the gallant party elected governor as well deserved and a further demonstration of the uprightness of the judiciary, commending members of the Tribunal for a job well done.
The PDP leader of the house of representatives, while congratulating the Governor for the victory and not being perturbed or distracted from carrying out his executive duties by the actions of his challengers during the hearing process, charges him to remain focused and committed as dependable party faithful for the state as well as being accessible to all Deltans.
While also reiterating his admonition to the opposition (the APC) and the labour Party LP to desist from engaging or taking undemocratic actions and making inflammatory comments capable of plunging the State into crisis, the federal lawmaker calls on the PDP teeming supporters and people of the State to remain steadfast, assuring them of better deal under the administration of Sen Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa which he said has come to stay.
On behalf of the good people of Isoko South/North Federal constituency I rejoice with you and our dear state over this tribunal Victory.
