By Omobolaji Oyegunle, London. Former Super Eagles player Peter Odemwingie believes he has pit himself in the shop window to attract a Premier League club by joining Bristol City’s relegation fight.
The Nigerian impressed on his debut in loan from Stoke after an official return to West London.
Odemwingie infamously drove to Queens Park Rangers in an unsuccessful bid to force through a move from West Brom three years ago.
The winger, 34, is out of contract this summer and insists Stoke have not offered him a new deal.
Odemwingie said:” l still see myself as a Premier League player. But sometimes in life you have to take on step back to take two forward.
“I’m not planning early retirement from top-flight football. If it’s not in England, it will be in one of the good leagues in Europe next season.
”I will be leaving Stoke. But l hope l’m with Bristol City to the last day of the season”.
Odemwingie sparked a City comeback after Ross McCormack had chipped Fulham in front.
