The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Imo has congratulated its Camp Commandant, Augustine Etfa following his promotion to the rank of Major.
Mr. Ugochukwu Orunta, NYSC Public Relations Officer in Imo, in a statement on Sunday described the promotion as “well deserved.”Orunta said that the news of Etfa’s promotion threw the scheme into a joyous mood.
He said that the NYSC Coordinator in the state, Mr. Jimba Chris was elated by the career elevation of the camp commandant.
The spokesman urged the camp commandant to remain committed and dutiful in the service of his fatherland. ”Career progression is a call for higher responsibility and renewed commitment to duty,” he said. Meanwhile, Etfa has described his promotion to the rank of Major as a divine upliftment and call to higher duty.
He expressed his readiness for renewed commitment to duty and service to the nation. (NAN)
