The Chairman, National Salaries Incomes and Wages Commission (NSIWC), Ekpo Nta, has urged Public Servants to live a life of dedication to service and live an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of meeting them.
Ekpo Nta, gave the advice when a delegation of Management of the Commission paid a condolence visit to the late first Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of National Salaries Incomes and Wages Commission, Mallam Adamu Fika, (Wazirin Fika).
The Chairman of the Commission, who was represented on the delegation by the Director, Productivity, Price and Income Department, Mr Babatunde Oresanya said the late former Chairman of the Commission laid the foundation for the success of the Commission with unwavering commitment and vision.
A statement from the Head, Press Unit, Emma Njoku quoted the Chairman as saying that the guidance and mentorship of late Mallam Adamu Fika touched the lives of many and foster a culture of excellence and ethical conduct.
In a remark, the son of the late Mallam Adamu Fika, Mr Ali Adamu Fika commended National Salaries Incomes and Wages Commission for sending such a high-powered delegation to pay a condolence visit to the family of late Wazirin Fika whom he said had served in many establishment including the Federal Character Commission, National Commission on Colleges of Education and National Salaries Incomes and Wages Commission. He noted that his father’s dedication to duties had been a guiding principle to the Children and had earned them deep respect and admiration.
Late Mallam Adamu Fika was the pioneer Chairman, National Salaries Incomes and Wages Commission from September 1992 to March 1993.
