Rofiat Abdulazeez on Tuesday secured a gold medal for Kwara in Squash at the ongoing 21st National Sports Festival (NSF) in Asaba.
Abdulazeez overcame 0-2 deficit to beat Busayo Olatunji of Delta 3-2 in the final of the women’s single event, decided at the Government House squash court.
The first ranked player in Africa also led the state to replicate the feat in the women’s team category.
Similarly, Rasheedat Salau extended the gold haul for the state to four, with her victory in the Teqball women singles.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Kudirat Imam-Fulani had earlier picked gold in para-table tennis women singles. (NAN)
