Shooting Stars defender, Omololu Waheed Abiodun believes the team’s quest for glorious finish in the 2024 season of the NPFL is very realistic, despite last Friday’s 1-0 loss to Heartland.
The experienced central defender, told Shooting Stars media that he remained upbeat about the possibility of the team returning to the continent.
“It was a match we had hoped to win to further enhance our push for the league title and a top three finish, but it didn’t go our way.
“That’s football for you. You win, draw or lose but I’m optimistic we will bounce back to winning ways on Sunday when we host Sunshine Stars.
“We must put that defeat behind us and focus on the remaining games with the sole aim of winning those games, which is a quite possible,” added ‘skippo’ as he is fondly called.
The 3SC players’ leader expressed confidence in the ability of the coach Gbenga Ogunbote led technical crew to lead the Oluyole Warriors to success this season, describing the former Remo Stars sweat merchant as ‘one of the best tactician’ in the land. READ ALSO:

He attributed the recent impressive performance of the team to the commitment of the management, the determination of the players and the support of the teeming supporters and the fans.
“For all these, I think we deserve something rewarding at the end of the season, to appreciate our number one supporter, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engineer Seyi Makinde and tbe good people of this state as well as our fans across the globe”, concluded the defense marshall.
