Sky Bet Championship club Nottingham Forest are reportedly considering a move for former West Bromwich Albion striker Brown Ideye when the transfer window reopens.
Ideye became the Baggies’ record signing when he moved to The Hawthorns in 2014, but left just one year later having scored seven goals in 31 outings across all competitions.
The Nigeria international left West Brom for Olympiacos, who are owned by Evangelos Marinkas – the same man in charge of Forest.
Ideye still plies his trade in Greece with Aris Thessaloniki , and Greek outlet PageNews claims that Forest are in the running to sign the forward this summer.
The 31-year-old’s contract with Aris expires at the end of the season and Forest have reportedly identified him as a possible target to ease the goalscoring burden on Lewis Grabban.
Ideye has nine goals in 26 appearances across all competitions for Aris this season.
