Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) on Tuesday announced that last modules of the ongoing 2018/2019 Advanced Sports Management course of the Olympic Solidarity would hold from Wednesday to Friday in Lagos.
Phemmy Adetula, NOC Public Relations Officer, said in a statement that the programme would hold at Banex Hotel and Suites, Ikeja.
“Twenty-Eight participants started the course, with only 18 participants’ fulfilling the requirements leading to collection of certificate for the course.
“The Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Lagos State Sports Commission have the highest number of participants, while others came from Lagos State University and the private sector,’’ Adetula said.
He said that NOC Secretary General, Olabanji Oladapo, will be in attendance to declare the course closed.
According to him, the one-year programme was anchored by diverse approved IOC sports administrators’.
“Experts led by Prof. Clement Fasan, Dean of Faculty of Education, Lagos State University, will also be in attendance.
“Mr Dyagas Jonathan of Association of National Olympics Committee and Dr Simon Ebohjaiye, Assistant Director, Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports, will also assist in anchoring the programme,’’ he said.
