Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State denied allegations suggesting that certain commissioners and state officials are engaging in signature forgery attributed to him.
A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Kayode Ajulo, had previously claimed that certain government officials were involved in forging Governor Akeredolu’s signature on official documents.
Ajulo asserted that Akeredolu’s absence due to illness created a gap, allowing certain groups to forge his signature in order to validate their actions.
Dismissing Ajulo’s remark, Akeredolu, through his Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde, described the allegation as “utterly preposterous and ludicrous,” while challenging him to present concrete evidence.
In a statement, Olatunde accused Ajulo of basing his claims on “fabricated signatures” that were circulating on social media.
He urged Ajulo to either furnish the supposed forged documents or reveal the recipient involved in the alleged forgery.
According to Olatunde: “We are more than willing to investigate the matter and prosecute anyone found culpable.
“But we cannot entertain baseless speculations and unfounded claims. READ ALSO:
