Dr Ken Oziomaeze, the Ebonyi governorship candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) says he is optimistic of winning the March 18 election, in spite of propaganda by his detractors.
Oziomaeze said this on Thursday in Abakaliki when he spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in reaction to insinuations that he has stepped down from the election.
The Former Executive Secretary of the Ebonyi Emergency Management Agency, said that those peddling the insinuation were afraid of his imposing credentials and high acceptability.
“Who has more chances to win than me, who is more superior to me among the other candidates?.
“Why should I step down for anyone; is it for money? I will not step down for anyone,” he said.
He said that he did not dabble into the contest as God had prepared him for the position in the last 15 years.
“I did not emerge the guber candidate of the ADP because it did not have a candidate but God destined that I will govern the state one day.
“The ADC is well structured in Ebonyi as we do not apply noise making or propaganda in relaying our programmes to the electorate.
“The electorate know about us and we have conducted over 20 town halls across the state to propagate our ideals,” he said.
Oziomaeze said that he has studied the Ebonyi situation and evolved policies to solve the problems mitigating the state’s growth and development.
“I have conducted researches and effectively analysed solutions geared towards uplifting the state and revamping its dysfunctional sectors.
“I discovered that creating, administering and maintaining systems are difficult in our terrain and we would evolve policies to check such,” he said.
He promised to revive education, human capital development, agriculture, health among others to get the state moving again.
“Youths would be empowered with necessary skills and intellectually equipped to apply modern business techniques in reinvigorating the state’s economy.
“I am urging the people to vote for me and they will not regret it,” he said. (NAN)
