Wikki Tourists Football Club of Bauchi on Sunday trash defeated visiting Abubakar Bukola Saraki FC of Ilorin 3-0 at the ongoing 2023/2024 Nigeria National League (NNL) in Bauchi.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the NNL match day seven was played at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium Bauchi.
The Hosts and the visiting Abubakar Bukola Saraki FC played vigorously at the first half of the match with several attempts from both teams ended goaless.
In the 47th minute of the Match, Nasiru Jibrin of Wikki Tourists put the visiting team ahead and Aremu Owolabi of the host team scored the second in the 63rd minute.
While Manu Garba scored the third goal in the 80th minute of the match.
All efforts by the visiting ABS of Ilorin to get a goal were unsuccessful.
In a post match interview with journalists, ABS FC Coach, Umar Alamin said he was not satisfied with the officiating of the match.
“Anyway they have done what they want to do in the match, so I am not satisfied with the officiating.
“We will make it up in the next outing by the special grace of God,” he said.
Wikki Tourists Coach, Mohammed Abdulazeez said the first half was not well coordinated, saying the second half was fantastic.
“All the three goals were scored in the second half of the match and the boys played with all their energy to win the match,” he said.
NAN reports that Wikki Tourists FC leads the NNL table with 15 points.
