By Gracious Akujobi The Nigeria National League (NNL) Super four tagged “2013 Champions Cup Competition” kicked off Wednesday at the Goal project.
Teams participating in the play offs are Abia Warriors, Taraba FC, Crown FC and Giwa FC.
The first match was Crown FC Vs Giwa FC which ended goalless and saw Giwa winning 5-4 on penalties.
Also, the second match Abia Warriors against Taraba FC ended goalless but Abia Warriors won by 4-3 on penalties.
Speaking after their match, coach of Abia Warriors, ex International Emeka Ezeugo said his boys did not play well as a result of the long road trip but was delighted they won the match.
“My boys where tired from the long road trip which took them 10 hours to Abuja Tuesday night.
“I am happy we won today’s match to qualify to play in the final and I am sure and optimistic we will win the final,” Ezeugo said.
The final between Abia Warriors and Giwa FC comes up Thursday by 4.00 pm.
