Rasheed Balogun, General Manager, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, has lauded players and officials of the club for their performance in the ongoing Nigeria National League (NNL) season.
Balogun gave the commendation in a statement made available by Tosin Omojola, 3SC Media Officer in Ibadan on Sunday.
Balogun commended the team for winning their first two matches to secure six points in the NNL season.
3SC defeated Calabar Rovers 3-0 and Giant Brillars 1-0 in their first and second matches respectively.
He commended the players for showing the stuff of true warriors in conquering their opponents.
“I want to commend the team for doing a very good job on the pitch yesterday. It was a difficult game but you were able to put them to where they belong,” he said.
The 3SC boss urged the players and their officials to work on the areas where lapses were noticed ahead of the next clash against Go Round FC of Omoku, Rivers.
Balogun noted that getting the maximum points against the visiting Omoku-based club would apart from extending their winning streak, put the team in a vantage position for the top spot in Group B1.
He gave an assurance that the club management would not stop in encouraging them with good welfare packages, restating the commitment of Gov. Seyi Makinde’s administration to the cause of the club.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that 3SC would on Sunday, Feb. 28, at the Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu-Ode, host GO Round FC of Omoku, in their NNL Match Day 3 encounter. (NAN)
