Following the reconstitution of the Board of Directors of NIRSAL Plc on Friday, 30th August, 2024, a new Board has been inaugurated at its 21st Meeting held on Tuesday, 10th September, 2024.
The Board members include:
Mr. Muhammad Sani Abdullahi, Deputy Governor, Economic Policy, Central Bank of Nigeria – Chairman; Mallam Ado Wanka, Non-Executive Director; Dr. Daphne Dafinone, Non-Executive Director; Mr. Hamidu Sa’ad, Non-Executive Director;
Dr. Bankole Allibay, Non-Executive Director and Hon. Shehu Balarabe, Non-Executive Director.
Mr. Babajide Arowosafe, a development finance expert, with experience from International Finance Corporation (IFC), the World Bank, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Ekiti State Government, and Southwest Agric Company (SWAgCo), was appointed as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the organisation.
In a statement by Jude Nnadozie , head of Corporate Communications on Wednesday, the Board stressed the need for the new members to refocus NIRSAL back to its core mandate of de-risking agricultural lending.
