The Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) has held the investiture of its new President, Major General Abdullahi Muraina (Rtd.), FNIM, mni, even as he has pledged to serve the Institute faithfully by putting service above self.
He also said that his regime will focus on the vision and mission of the Nigerian Institute of Management in the quest to positioning the Institute as the prime driver of management standard and values.
General Abdullahi Muraina stated these in his inaugural speech at his investiture as the 23rd President of the Institute recently at MUSON Center, Onikan, Lagos which attracted a large number of members.
According to him: “I pledge to serve our Institute faithfully by putting service above self, focus on the vision and mission of the Nigerian Institute of Management in the quest to positioning the Institute as the prime driver of management standard and values”.
Speaking further he said “commitment to delivering world-class professional services to individuals and organizations must be our compass to increase the productivity at workplace”.
The new NIM boss also said: “As the foremost Institute in Nigeria, we provide a broad range of capacity building and skills development services to government agencies, projects, corporate bodies and NGOs”.
“Aggressive membership shall be our key driver in increasing name recognition of our Institute”.
The retired Army General however recommended that an anthem for NIM which capture the essence of the Institute and members will be most desirable now hence he said he will bring the proposal to the Council to deliberate upon and give its approval.
Among those who attended the event in Lagos are present and past top officials of NIM including Mrs. Patience Anabor, immediate past President and Alhaja Aibat Muraina, wife of the new President and Chairman of Council.
