Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) has ended its Two- day Annual Management Conference in Abuja, coming out with several proposals for the Federal Government to tackle the societal ills head on.
In a communique made available to the delegates on Tuesday at the end of the conference held at International Conference Center, Abuja, NIM came out with a 17- point recommendations which the management body said will heal the many ills of the nation.
Amongst the recommendations are that the present government led by President Muhammadu Buhari must ensure that there is justice, equity and fairness in all national affairs in order to reduce conflict to the barest minimum.
NIM also recommended that all security agencies should be profiled in order to fish out and punish moles that have infiltrated their ranks.
Finally, NIM reminded the Federal Government that emphasis should be placed on human capital development, the principles of social equality addressed and the rural areas carried along in the nation’s development plans.
Speaking at the event, NIM Chartered President/ Chairman of Council, Professor Olukunle Iyanda, FNIM, who declared the Conference closed urged government to consider all the recommendations of the Institute.
He thanked the delegates who came from the 36 states and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) just as he expressed the organisation’s profound gratitude to the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osibanjo who declared the Conference open on Monday.
Prof. Iyanda described the 2019 Conference as very successful in all ramifications.
