Nigeria forward, Emmanuel Ekong has sealed a move to Swedish champions, Malmo FF from Serie A outfit, Empoli.
Prompt News reports that Ekong, the son of former Super Eagles midfielder, Ikpe put pen to paper on a five-year contract.
The striker, who has been allotted the number 11 jersey is looking forward to playing for his new club.
“It feels great to finally be there, I’ve been longing for this. I feel that this is absolutely the right step for me considering the ambitions of Malmö FF and I want to be part of a journey with a team that always plays to win,” he told the club’s official website.
“It will be fun and exciting to play Swedish football again. I think the team’s way of playing will suit me well, I am fast, technical and like to challenge. I hope to score a lot of points and help the team.
“I know that I will come to a good club, everyone I have spoken to has told me that. I look forward to winning titles and playing in front of nice and passionate supporters in Malmö.”
