Ceramica Cleopatra have stolen a march on Egyptian Premier League rivals Al Ahly and Zamalek by snagging Nigerian striker John Ebuka from ENPPI.
The 25-year-old hotshot has impressed in the top flight since his arrival from Yenicami in Cyprus two seasons ago, bagging 23 league goals for the Petroleum Club.
Ebuka contributed 13 goals and four assists in 32 appearances last term as ENPPI finished ninth, with his performances attracting interest from the Red Eagles and the White Knights.
However, the Gold and Blood won the race for his signature as Ahmed Amin Oufa and Joseph Atule moved in the opposite direction as part of the deal.
Ebuka has been brought in to replace Shady Hussien, who is set to join Al Ahly after netting 10 goals for the Giza outfit this past season.
The club announced the signing on Twitter, saying: “Welcome to Nigerian striker John Ebuka, the newest member of the Ceramica Cleopatra squad.”
