Expectedly, Nigeria’s U-17 women’s football team, Flamingos defeated their opponents from Liberia with two unreplied goals courtesy of rising goalpoacher Harmony Chidi’s brace to qualify for the 2024 FIFA U-17 World Cup final slated for Dominican Republic later in the year.
Nigeria qualified on 6-1 aggregate having thrashed Liberia 4-1 in the first tie played in Monrovia last Sunday.
Two goals in both halves of the match scored by Harmony in the 3rd and 62th minutes ensured that Nigeria edged Liberia and also brought the striker’s goal tally to 13 in the qualifying series.

Flamingos will now go on recess to await for close camping for the the tournament which is holding from October 16 to November 3 in Dominican Republic.
