Baring any last minute change, the chieftains of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), will soon name Ladan Bosso, as the Head Coach of the Flying Eagles.
Prompt News source at the Sunday Dankaro House, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the Niger State born football tactician was picked ahead of other coaches because of his vast experience in identifying and handling of youth players.
The source added that the former Gombe United handler is not new to the U20 competitions having been there in 2009 when he led the likes of Odion Ighalo to the 17th Edition of 2009 FIFA World Cup hosted by Egypt.
“Bosso has vast experience in our domestic league and is a known name in Nigeria football. He has an excellent record in identifying youth players and hardly you see any established domestic player that doesn’t pass through him.
“Secondly he has a good relationship with the glass house and which is one of the major factor in given out a job. Bosso knows how to make use of youth players
“You also know that Bosso is an apostle of domestic players who doesn’t believe in foreign based players when it comes to youth football.
“Bosso is a person that if given and accepts to take the job, he will handle it to get result. What the present board of NFF needs now is a coach with trophy mentality , a coach that can give you something to celebrate at this period of COVID-19 pandemic,” the source said.
Ladan Bosso is the current President of Nigeria Football Coaches Association.
