True to his vow to carry along everyone involved in football business, frontrunner in the forthcoming Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Presidential election, Dr. Christian Emeruwa has held frank talks with the top Sports Editors of Nigeria media in Lagos, commercial capital of Nigeria to lay bare his plans to create a viable football economy that will benefit stakeholders if voted into office.
Also, the astute football administrator and Founder of Safety and Security Department of Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) in Cairo, Egypt, has met the leadership of the Football Supporters Club in Lagos to solicit for their moral encouragement.
Dr. Emeruwa who later visited the Ogunlana Drive, Surulere Liaison Office of NFF in Lagos to felicitate with his former colleagues seized the golden opportunity to explain more deeply how he will rebuild Nigerian football within the shortest possible period of his administration.
He however told the NFF staffers not to be involved in partisanship as his visit was out of his regards for the staff whom he said will form the bedrock of his transformation agenda just as he asked them only to pray for his success at the pools on September 30 in Benin City.
According to the former NFF Head of Integrity Unit, the meetings in Lagos and others held in Abuja on his return from Lagos have been very productive, adding that the Sports Editors and Nigeria Football Supporters Club members were very happy to meet with him and wished him the best in the upcoming election.
The NFF Elective Congress where the next President of NFF who will succeed outgoing President Amaju Melvin Pinnick will hold in Benin City, Edo state capital on September 30, 2022.
