By Gracious Akujobi In its bid to further boost female football in the country, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has established business relations with the Chinese Business Council
Speaking to Prompt News Online on the importance of the partnership, Director of Competition at the NFF, Mohammed Sanusi, says the idea is a welcome development as it will create an avenue for both countries to develop on areas they are lacking.
“What they want to do is to use the power of football especially the women football to promote trade and tourism between Nigeria and China, bearing in mind that the two countries have understanding and relationship in the area of business”.
Speaking further, Sanusi said “They requested for a friendly match which we told them will not be possible this year but has been shifted to next year. We also propose a two-legged friendly where by Falcons can go to China and they in turn come to Nigeria to play”.
According to the Director, other things encapsulated in the collaboration are the area of friendly matches between female clubs from countries, getting visas easily and promptly for the travelling teams and funding.
Sanusi promised that the proposal will speedily be endorsed by NFF in other to kick-start the laudable project.
