By Gracious Akujobi The League Management Company (LMC) has invited the management of the 20 clubs that have been prequalified for the 2013/2014 Glo Premier league to an interactive session ahead of the new season.
Chief Operating officer of LMC, Salihu Abubakar who disclosed this said the meeting will discuss among other issues, the forth coming season and compliance with registration requirements recently transmitted to the clubs; the proposed security plan for the league match venues and the pre-season tournament scheduled to hold in Abuja from January 24-28.
He said, “The pre-season comes up in Abuja and will be played at the National stadium. The LMC considered it imperative to arrange this tourney for the teams to fine-tune their work preparatory to their various continental engagements having been on break since October 2013.
“The meeting with club owners will be on Monday at West Point Hotel” Abubakar told Prompt News Online.
Asked if there would be prize money or trophy for the forth coming Super 4, he said “there is no competition without trophy or any other gifts. We intend to do a formal press conference where everything that concerns trophy or gifts will be unveiled”.
