Flying Eagles head coach, Ladan Bosso believes the injection of new players will make the Flying Eagles stronger, reports Prompt News.
Bosso’s side set up camp in Abuja on Monday as they kick-start preparations ahead of the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
The experienced tactician invited 40 players to camp, with the core of the players, who won the WAFU B tourney in May dominating the list.
New additions like Dominion Ohaka, Abdulrahman Adam, Emmanuel Justine, Junior Nduka, Jonas Emmanuel, Christopher Chinedu and Emmanuel Ekpenyong have been pushing for team places.
The Flying Eagles have played three friendlies this week, winning all without conceding.
“The new boys are pushing hard, I am happy, that can only be good for the team,” Bosso told reporters.
“I always have an open mind about the players, if you are good you will make my team.
“We will continue to improve the team with players who are good enough, it’s an on-going exercise, and that way we will have a stronger team for the AFCON as a result.”
The U-20 AFCON will be hosted by Egypt next February.
The top four teams in the competition will represent Africa at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World in Indonesia.
