Nigeria captain Asisat Oshoala is in boisterous mood after signing a new two-year contract with European champions Barcelona Ladies.
According to Pnosports.com, Barcelona announced on Thursday that their prolific striker has penned a new deal putting an end to speculations over his future.
Oshoala was set to become a free agent this summer, but the Blaugurana have moved swiftly to extend her stay at the club.
“I am just happy to be in the best team in the world. Not just because of their football, because you look outside the pitch and because of how they treat footballers to keep improving,” the forward told the club’s official website.
“I am a striker and I want to keep scoring more goals. I love it. The goal is to keep growing and to be happy. ”
The 27-year-old, who joined the European champions in January 2019 has scored 80 goals in 101 appearances for the club.
The forward is the sixth highest goal scorer in the history of the club.
Oshoala was first the Barcelona player to score in a Champions League final.
She is currently the top scorer in the Primera Iberdrola, with 19 goals from 16 games.
