Wilfred Ndidi is delighted with the performance of Super Eagles in Sunday’s 1-1 friendly draw against Brazil at the Singapore National Stadium.
Gernot Rohr’s men put up a brave display against the five-time World Champions who wasted a number of chances in the second half.
The Super Eagles took the lead after 35 minutes when Joe Aribo found space in a packed penalty box to rifle in a low shot and grab his second goal in two international appearances.
Brazil equalised three minutes into the second half when Casemiro fired home from close range after he was quickest to react when a Marquinhos header came back off the woodwork.
Casemiro later smacked a header off the bar and Coutinho should have scored a cut back with five minutes remaining but the score remained at 1-1.
Samuel Chukuweze came close to snatching a late winner for the Super Eagles three minutes from time but Ederson saved his shot.
“A good friendly game for Naija?? and a fair result against one of the best team in the world …@Uzohof wish you a quick recovery bro ?! Thank you singapore ,”Ndidi Tweeted.
