The Executive Board of the Nigeria National League (NNL) has announced that the new 2013/2014 football season will commence on November 6.
Chairman of NNL, Emeka Inyama who dropped this hint disclosed that the resumption of the league has become imperative in order to ensure early conclusion of the football season.
He said a pre-season seminar will be organized for club officials and stakeholders before the kickoff of date.
Inyama, who is also an Executive Board Member of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) said the league will see an improvement in organization, management and prosecution of the competition as a result of many innovations that will be introduced in the new season.
According to him, “club officials and other stakeholders will converge for a seminar before the kickoff of the league so that they will be educated on how best to make the league meet the expectations of the board”
The former Abia State Sports Commissioner also disclosed that effort will be made to ensure that the Nigeria National League is attractive to sponsors just as he urged all the teams that will participate in the league to strictly adhere to the rules and regulations guiding the competition.
