By Mohammed Yangida, Lafia The chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State, Mr. Yunana Illiya has enjoined party faithful to remain resolute so that Governor Umaru Tanko Al-makura’s rule could end in 2015.
He made the call on Tuesday at the presentation of the party’s flag to Yusuf Agabi who emerged as the winner of the governorship primaries at the party secretariat in Lafia.
According to him for the past three and half years, Nasarawa state has been without a responsible government.
His words “the agenda of this party and the leadership of today is to make sure that we cut short the tyranny rule of Tanko Al-Makura in Nasarawa state and we can only achieve that if you give us the support and co operation”.
On the defection of the immediate past Information Minister, Labaran Maku to APGA, the chairman said as far as Nasarawa PDP was concerned Maku still remain its member because there was no formal letter from Maku regarding his defection.
In his remark, the PDP flag bearer Yusuf Agabi expressed his profound gratitude to God and his supporters, calling for a meaning positive change in Nasarawa state.
He therefore called on everyone in the state to be an active participant ahead of the general elections.
