Alhaji Muhammed Ibrahim-Alkali, Member representing Lafia North constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, says the All Progresses Congress(APC) will win the Oct. 6 local government election in the state.
Ibrahim-Alkali said this was achievable considering the leadership style and giant strides of Gov. Abdullahi Sule across all facets of life in the state.
Ibrahim Alkali, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Local Government, stated this at the inauguration of Lafia Local Government Campaign Council of the APC flagbearer for the poll, Alhaji Aminu Muazu Maifata in Lafia on Tuesday.
He urged members of the campaign council to work hard to ensure the victory of the party on Oct.6.
” Let us continue to mobilise people to vote for all APC candidates and by God’s grace, victory is ours.
” Our victory is also achievable considering the leadership style and giant strides of Gov. Abdullahi Sule across all facets of life in the state, which is giving the party more grounds and acceptability on daily basis,” he said.
The lawmaker,who was the chairman of the occasion,said Lafia Local Government Area was the home of APC and would remain so.
He called for more unity of purpose among the party’s faithful to enable them to gain more grounds.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the Campaign Council and a former member of the House of Representatives, Dr Haruna Kigbu,assured of their readiness to mobilise more support for the party.
” We will justify the confidence reposed in us by ensuring that we mobilise massive support for all the APC candidates,” he said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the occasion was attended by Mr Abdullahi Angibi (APC-Lafia Central) at the State Assembly, Mr Aliyu Bello, the State APC Caretaker Committee Secretary as well as other APC stalwarts. (NAN)
