In commemoration of the 61st birthday of Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa, the First Lady of the state, Hajiya Silifat Abdullahi Sule donated food items to 163 orphans in Gudi Station, Akwanga local government area of the state.
Hajiya Silifat Sule, while distributing the palliatives to the beneficiaries on Saturday, pledged her unalloyed commitment and determination to ease the plight of orphans and less privileged, with the view to giving them sense of belonging in the society.
The orphans numbering 163 whose education and other needs are being sponsored by the First Lady, are those from Gudi community, as there are scores of others from various local governments areas of the state.
She therefore used the event which coincided with the Christmas celebration to make donations and urged Christians to emulate the virtues of Jesus Christ who symbolizes sacrifice, love, unity, peace and dignity for the human race.
The First Lady who prayed for her husband, Governor Abdullahi A. Sule for clocking 61 years of birth, called on Gudi community and the state as a whole to continue to support the effort of Governor Abdullahi Sule in his quest to improve the living standards of the people.
She reiterated her foundation’s avowed commitment to providing succor to the masses.
Also speaking, Secretary Nasarawa State Universal basic Education Board (NSUBEB) Hajiya Hashiya Ahmed lauded the First Lady for her humanitarian activities.
Some beneficiaries of the gesture – Abdulaziz Idris, Paul Emmanuel and Ayimo Samuel expressed profound gratitude to the state first lady for impacting on their lives positively, and wished her success in all her endeavors.
Highlights of the event was cutting of birthday cake by Her Excellency, Hajiya Silifat Abdullahi Sule alongside some of the orphans who are beneficiaries of her foundation.
