The chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Nasarawa state, Bishop Joseph Masin has been abducted by unknown gunmen.
The Immediate past Secretary of the CAN, Mr Yohanna Samari in a telephone interview revealed that the gunmen stormed the Bishop’s Bukan- Sidi residence in Lafia, at about 11pm and 12 midnight (Wednesday) and zoomed off with him to an unknown destination.
The Commissioner of police in Nasarawa state, Mr Bola Emmanuel-Longe confirmed the abduction.
According to him, the kidnappers took the chairman away on motorcycles.
The police chief stated with confidence that the police are on the trail of the kidnappers to ensure safe return of the state CAN Chairman.
