In a move to reposition MTN Nigeria, its Chief Executive Officer, Michael Ikpoki has been forced to resign.
Also, the Head of Regulatory and Corporate Affairs, Akinwale Goodlck has resigned.
They both quit in reaction to the N1.04 trillion fine imposed on the company by Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC).
Meanwhile, the company immediately announced replacements for the two top men.
They are Ferdi Moolman as the new Chief Executive Officer and Amina Oyagbola as the new Head of Regulatory and Corporate Affairs.
It will be recalled that NCC recently imposed a fine of N1.04 trillion on MTN Nigeria for failing to disconnect 5.2 million unregistered SIM cards.
Meanwhile, the company is awaiting the intervention of President Muhammadu Buhari to get the fine reduced.
