Germany forward Thomas Müller plans to continue playing football until at least 2025 which is two years beyond his current Bayern Munich contract.
The 32-year-old Müller told Wednesday’s edition of the Sport Bild weekly that “I definitely want to play football at a top level until 2025.
“Things are going great at the moment from a sporting point of view, and I am enjoying myself a lot on the pitch. So, I am not thinking about retirement at all,” he added.
The 2014 World Cup winner Müller has spent his entire career at Bayern Munich and is in his 14th Bundesliga season.
It makes him the longest-serving player from the current squad.
His contract at the nine-time reigning league champions runs until 2023 and talks about another renewal are yet to start.
“I am approaching the issue in a very relaxed manner but at the same time confidently. No one from the club has approached me yet.
“So, we will have to see what the future brings,” Müller said.(dpa/NAN)
