A 50-year-old woman, Angela Ugochukwu and her 20-year-old daughter, Priscilla, were on Thursday arraigned in a Kaduna Chief Magistrates’ Court, for allegedly beating up their neighbour.
The police charged the defendants, both who lived at Ungwan Maigero, Karji Kaduna, with assault and causing grievous hurt.
The prosecutor, Insp Chidi Leo, informed the court that Jummai Richard, of the same address with the defendants reported the matter on March 11.

“My Lord, the defendants used a wood to beat up the complainant and they also injure her all over her body,” he said.
He said that the offence contravened the Penal Code of Kaduna State, 2017.
