Adura Aloba, the brother of late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has refuted claims made by actor Yomi Fabiyi, who suggested that Adura knew the cause of his brother’s death.
Fabiyi further alleged that Adura had requested money in exchange for a video supporting his claims.
In a response shared on Cablelifestyle X, Adura emphasized that the matter was already in court, and he had no further comment to add.
He stated, “I cannot know the cause of my brother’s death and remain silent all this time. This video being discussed is over three years old, and I did not make it. Mohbad himself recorded it on a phone I later sold to Damola, and the video was on that phone.”
Adura further clarified, “I was the one who contacted Mr. Yomi to explain the situation. I saw everything during the TikTok live stream, as he was invited and knew exactly who was messaging him.” He also denied any involvement in sharing the video and accused Fabiyi of attempting to tarnish his reputation.
PUNCH Online reported a recent confrontation between Mohbad’s mother and Fabiyi regarding the circumstances surrounding the singer’s death.
Mohbad tragically passed away on September 12, 2023, and was buried the following day.
However, his body was exhumed by the police for an autopsy on September 21, 2023.
Fabiyi had previously stated that Adura messaged him on Instagram, claiming to have evidence that could help reveal the cause of Mohbad’s death. The actor also accused Adura of requesting N3 million to share a video allegedly showing Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi, pushing him down the stairs during a confrontation.
