By Olusegun Lawrence The spokesperson of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh, was on Thursday arraigned before a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
He was arraigned before Justice Ishaq Bello on a two-count charge bordering on alleged destruction of evidence against him.
For the second time, Metuh was brought to the court in handcuffs.
He was alleged to have torn and attempted to swallow a confessional statement he made while undergoing interrogation.
Metuh, is facing another seven-count charge before Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court, Abuja,
According to the EFCC, Metuh committed an offence contrary to Sections 166 and 326 of the Penal Code Act.
Justice Bello adjourned hearing on Metuh’s bail application till January 25.
