*** Gives Account Of Stewardship After One Year In Office
The Prelate, Methodist Church Nigeria, His Eminence Dr Oliver Ali Aba JP, has assured members of Nigeria’s Premier Church – Methodist Church Nigeria that his ‘New Dawn’ administration would Concentrate on developing the church and her membership spiritually and acquire investment and property for the sustenance of the church in future.
Giving his account of stewardship after one year in office, His Eminence Aba said “my administration would neither plunge the church into debt nor sell any of her properties, rather his tenure would acquire investment and property for future generation.”
According to press statement signed by the National Public Relations of Methodist Men’s Fellowship, Sir ‘Tunde Babalola KJW, JP, Prelate Aba stated this when he received the Executive of Methodist Men’s Fellowship led by Sir Dr Kehinde Olasunkanmi Oladeji KJW at the Wesley House, 21/22 Marina, Lagos.
The National Executive of Methodist Men’s Fellowship led by the National President, Sir Kehinde Oladeji KJW paid courtesy visit on the Head and Prelate, Methodist Church Nigeria, His Eminence Dr Oliver Ali Aba at Wesley House, 21/22 Marina Lagos.
The Prelate appreciated the Fellowship for been the first visitor to his office in 2024.
He tasked the Fellowship to work hard to have a strategic befitting office as well as new official bus, soliciting the support and cooperation of men in the Church to make his tenure a success.
Prelate Aba who gave the account of his one year in office which included settling of over #1billion debt inherited, remodelling and total renovation of Prelate’s official residence in Yaba, Lagos; and commissioning of Wesley Guest House in Aje, Yaba abandoned for 19 years.
He said he did not come to the office as a maintenance officer but a transformer who is ready to leave a mark for the legacy and an enviable status for Nigeria’s Premier Church.
His Eminence Aba assumed office on December 1st 2022 after his election in August at Methodist Cathedral of Unity, Abuja. He took over from His Eminence Samuel Chukwuwmeka Kanu Uche who clocked 70 in January 2023.
The Secretary of Conference, Rt Revd Dr Babatunde Abiodun Taiwo; Connexional Secretary of Evangelism and Discipleship, Rt Revd Inyang Okon Effiong; Proto Presbyter of Tinubu Church Council, The Very Revd Dr Jonathan B. Osin representing Bishop Babalola of Tinubu Council; and Prelate’s Chaplain joined the Prelate to receive the Delegation of the Men’s Fellowship.
Earlier, Sir Kehinde Oladeji had wished His Eminence a successful tenure of office, haven felicitated with him on his success in the election during the Benue 2022 Conference hosted in Abuja.
He advised the Prelate not to be afraid of stepping on toes in doing the right thing for the future of our Church, insisting that he would not be loved by all if he’s doing the right thing.
Sir Oladeji was joined on the visit by the National Coordinator, The Very Revd James Adikwu; National Public Relations Officer, Sir Tunde Babalola; National Financial Secretary, Chief Hon. David Alagbe; South West Regional President of MF, Sir Dr Dele Taiwo and SW zonal Secretary, Evangelist Bayo Oduyemi. READ ALSO:

The Secretary of Conference, Rt Revd Taiwo assured the Men’s Fellowship that himself and the Prelate will attend the Biennial Conference of the Men’s Fellowship in 2025.
He said the activities of the Prelate was tedious in 2023 haven to inaugurate 24 Dioceses and two Archdioceses across the Conference Area.
His Eminence Aba, Bishops Taiwo and Effiong were later presented with the National MF uniform and sourveneir of the Fellowship’s Conference held at Ikot-Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State last November.
