The 90 athletes and Officials to represent Ekiti at the 2020 National Sports Festival in Edo have undergone the compulsory COVID-19 test.
Q’uozeem Oladapo, the team’s Media Officer, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, saying the test was conducted at the Kayode Oluyemi Stadium in Ado-Ekiti.
“The medical personnel from the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH) diligently carried out their duties with appropriate advice to each member of the state contingent.
“This is to ensure safety from the dreaded disease known as COVID-19, considering the influx of people at the National Sports Festival.
“The processes for the testing was stress-free and held in a conducive atmosphere.
“The organisers had asked every participant to undergo the compulsory coronavirus test at least 74 hours to departure.
“Therefore, the Ekiti contingent has complied as it is done in every other state of the federation,” he said.
