Nasarulahi Fatih Society of Nigeria( NASFAT) has urged Muslims faithful to imbibe the teachings and life of Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him).
The Chairman, NASFAT Doka Local Group, Alhaji Musbahu Adepoju made the call on the sidelines of Eid-el-Maulud celebration in Kaduna on sunday.
He said Maulud celebration symbolises the birth of Prophet Muhammad for the Muslims to appreciate his life.
He urged the faithful to emulate the Prophet’s good examples, legacies and live in peace with one another irrespective of religious and ethnic differences.
In his remarks, Chairman, NASFAT, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Ajawo admonished Muslims to imbibe the teachings of Prophet in their dealings.
“If Muslim faithful followed His teachings, we would have not been where we are today, we should continue to love one another and leave in peace,” he said.
Represented by Alhaji Sulaiman Yusuf, the Chairman expressed satisfaction with the activities of the local group and urged them to continue to do more.
Also speaking, Alhaji Mohammed Nasir said Muslim were expected to use the Maulud celebration to promote good service to humanity and support for one another.
While urging leaders to be fair and just in leadership, Nasir admonished the people to support and pray for their leaders.
In their seperate remarks, Popoola Sha’ibu and Mohammed Kabir stressed the need for the Muslims to use the period of the Maulud to pray for peace, unity, stability and prosperity in the country.
They urged the youth not to allow themselves to be hoodwink by self seeking politicians to forment trouble and disrupt the relative peace in the country.
“God created us together because he wanted us to be together,” Kabir said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that highlight of the event was the distribution of palliatives to members of the group to enable them to celebrate the Maulud in a happy mood. (NAN)
