Manchester City secured top spot in the Premier League with a routine 5-1 victory over Luton Town at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Pep Guardiola’s side took the lead after 90 seconds when Erling Haaland’s effort
deflected in off the unfortunate Daiki Hashioka.
Despite their long period of dominance, City had to wait until the 64th minute to register their second goal when Mateo Kovacic found the top corner with a fantastic strike.
Haaland then grabbed his 20th Premier League goal of the season from the penalty spot before Ross Barkley pulled one back for Luton
The visitors then scored two late goals through Jeremy Doku and Josko Gvardiol to claim an empathetic win.
Manchester City’s title rivals Arsenal and Liverpool will be in action on Sunday.
