A 54-year-old man, Oyerogba Adeyemi, on Tuesday was brought before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan for allegedly attempting to steal a vehicle.
Adeyemi, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge of attempt to commit a felony.
The Prosecutor, Insp Iyabo Oladoyin told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Oct. 11, at about 4.00 p.m, at the Nigeria Immigration Service, Oyo State Command, at the Agodi area of Ibadan.
Oladoyin said the defendant attempted to steal one unregistered Toyota Sienna bus worth N2 million and belonging to one Mr Bankole Abiola.
She said the offence contravened Section 509 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

The Magistrate, Mrs Adebola Adeola granted the defendant bail in the sum of N3 million with two reliable sureties in like sum.
She thereafter adjourned the case until Dec. 19 for hearing. (NAN)
