An Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court on Friday ordered that a 34-year-old man, John Agbo, in Kirikiri Correctional Centre for allegedly defiling a six-year-old girl.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs E. Kubeinje, ordered the police to duplicate the case file and forward a copy to the State Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) for legal advice.
She adjourned the case until May 30.
Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, DSP Kehinde Ajayi told the court that Agbo committed the offence in 2022 at No 9, Ogunsanya St., Orile-Iganmu, Lagos.
She said that the offence contravened the provisions of Section 261 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015. (NAN)
