Toluwalase Jacob, 23, a staff of Smatees Multiglobal Ventures, Oke-Ado, Ibadan, was on Friday docked in an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, for allegedly stealing his employer’s N4, 026, 596.
Jacob, whose address was not provided, was charged with conspiracy and theft.
He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Prosecutor, Insp Toyin Ibrahim, told the court that Jacob allegedly committed the offences between Dec. 16, 2023 and February, 2024.
Ibrahim alleged that the defendant also received the sum of N585, 000 from a customer through his zenith account number.
The prosecutor alleged that Jacob converted the money to his personal use and failed to remit it to the employer’s account.

He said the offences contravened Sections 516 and 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Mrs Kausarat Ayofe, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N300, 000 and two sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case untill May 9 for hearing. (NAN)
