Gabriel Osho’s debut for the Super Eagles will now be delayed after he was ruled out of the upcoming friendlies against Ghana and Mali with a knee injury.
The centre-back was handed his maiden invitation by Nigeria last weekend.
The injury sustained in Luton Town’s Premier League clash with Crystal Palace has now forced him to pull out of the squad.
The 25-year-old missed Luton’s away defeat to Bournemouth in midweek due to the setback.
The versatile defender won’t play a part in Luton Town’s Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest on Saturday (today).
“He’s still in pain today, so not going to be good for tomorrow (today)”, manager Rob Edwards told a press conference.
Osho has scored two goals in 16 league appearances for Luton this season.
