Ademola Lookman was named Africa’s Best International Player at the Ghana Football Awards.
Lookman won the the highest number of votes in the category beating his international teammate, Victor Osimhen and Burkina Faso defender, Edmund Tapsoba to second and third respectively.
The winger had a brilliant season with Serie A club, Atalanta.
The 26-year-old was the hero of La Dea’s UEFA Europa League final win against Bayer Leverkusen.
The Nigerian scored a hat-trick for Atalanta in the final.
The player registered 17 goals and 10 assists across all competitions for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side last season.

The former RB Leipzig player scored thrice in seven matches for the Super Eagles in Cote d’Ivoire.
