Ademola Lookman has set his sights on winning the 2024 CAF Men’s Player of the Year award.
Lookman is looking to succeed compatriot, Victor Osimhen as the best player on the continent, Prompt News reports.
The 27-year-old will battle four other players; Simon Adingra, Serhou Guirassy Achraf Hakimi and Ronwen Williams for the award.
“It’s an honour to be nominated for this prestigious award. Of course, anyone who is nominated would like to win it. It’s a dream,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
The winger is the overwhelming favourite to win the award following an impressive campaign for club and country.
The Nigeria international scored the winning goal in Atalanta’s 2-1 victory over AC Milan on Friday night.
He has so far registered 10 goals and five assists in 17 appearances across all competitions for La Dea this season.
